Blog

In August 2019, I presented a study "Journalism practice in a digital age: Utilization of social media in online news" at the AEJMC annual conference which took place in Toronto, Canada. This research is the result of another fruitful cooperation with my friend and colleague Dr. Ivana Cvetkovic.

An interview for RTV Studentski Grad

When I was visiting Belgrade in May 2016, I had a pleasure to be interviewed by a young Serbian TV host Aleksa Jovanovic.

I was speaking for a student television in Serbian about the importance of journalism education and my journalism experience.

Hopefully, the interview has been inspiring for all young people who are still not sure if pursuing a degree in journalism is what they should focus on prior to getting a job in the media industry, In this interview, I explained why I personally believe it is important.

The interview was conducted in Serbian.

An award for best report on EU integration

Among the journalism awards I've received in my career is the award for the best report on the EU integration process published in print media. This prestigious award is traditionally given by the Serbian EU Integration Office and the Delegation of the EU in Serbia.

The title of the article I wrote was "Horny goat weed under embargo." Behind this tabloid-like headline is a comprehensive story about the measures that the European Union has taken to ban the production and distribution of hundreds of herbal remedies.

This is a brief interview that a journalist who works for Beta News Agency conducted with me after I received the award. The interview was conducted in Serbian and you watch it here.
